Origin: Prepared from sound, properly ripened fresh blueberries (Genus Vaccinium).

Preparation: Cleaned, stemmed, properly washed, and packed with or without packing media.

Freezing: Frozen and maintained at temperatures necessary for preservation.

Grades:
U.S. Grade A or U.S. Fancy:

Practically free from defects.

Good character and normal flavor and odor.

Scores at least 90 points in the scoring system.

U.S. Grade B or U.S. Choice:

Reasonably free from defects.

Good color and normal flavor and odor.

Scores at least 80 points in the scoring system.

U.S. Grade C or U.S. Standard:

Fairly free from defects.

Fairly good color and normal flavor and odor.

Scores at least 70 points in the scoring system.

U.S. Grade D or Substandard:

Fails to meet the requirements of U.S. Grade C.

Physical Properties:
Color: Bright blue with a natural sheen.
